Voting the Hip Hop Political Agenda

Wuts up NHHPC,

On August 3, 2008, roughly 25 to 30 people remained after the offiicial close of the convention to deliberate and debate about how to update the National Hip Hop Political Agenda. Those in attendance (we know who you are:-) agreed that, as we went thru the agenda updating/setting process, each person involved  would comply with the following:

In order to be considered a voting delegate for the hip hop political agenda, which involves submitting your vote online at www.hiphoppoliticalagenda.com between September 20 - October 1, 2008, you must:

1 - Sign on to, create a (personal) page, and regularly interact with other members of the official Hip Hop Political Agenda website, www.hiphoppoliticalagenda.com.

2 - Submit a petition of 20 names and signatures of the people who have agreed to have you represent their political will, specifically as it relates to the National Hip Hop Political Agenda. This petition must include signature, name, address, phone and the email of each individual. All petitions must be submitted via email by September 20, 2008 to hiphoppoliticalagenda@gmail.com

3 - Act in support of/advocate for our identifies political agenda on both the local and national level.

Anyone that was not present on the 3rd is still expected to comply with these requirements in order to participate in the agenda vote.

The information that you'll see below are the notes, addendums and language suggestions as presented by the group who worked on the agenda from 2pm PCT to 8pm PCT at UNLV. Each individual agenda topic, including the suggested agenda changes, can be found in the associated group of the same title on hiphoppoliticalagenda.com. The link to that group is next to each agenda topic area. Each person who either worked/or is interested in a particular agenda area is expected to join that particular group to flesh out the specific wording and action items for the agenda items that will put to vote on September 20 - October 1, 2008. We would like for all agenda suggestions for language changes, addendums, action items, etc. be finalized and prepared for vote by September 20. The week lag in time from final motions to the actual vote will give us time to iron out the online voting process. So let's get it crackin!!!
